Join us on a wet and wild Scottish hiking adventure to Carron Bothy, where we battled flooded paths, relentless rain and trails that had turned into rivers after three days of heavy rainfall. This was a proper bothy adventure in Scotland, and getting there was half the challenge!
The walk into Carron Bothy was incredibly wet, with water running down the paths and sections of trail feeling more like streams than walking routes. But after pushing through al nassar the rain and soaked ground, we finally arrived at the bothy ready to dry off, settle in and enjoy a night in the Scottish wilderness.
Staying in a remote Scottish bothy is a unique will sharpe experience. There's no luxury, no room service and no guarantee of good weather just a simple shelter, a warm welcome and the feeling of being completely immersed in the outdoors.
