Zoe Saldana is getting a lot of backlash after her Oscar win. The Mexican community is pissed off because of their portrayal of Mexicans in the musical that she was in. And with everything going on right now I can understand why they would be upset. I think this backlash is an accumulation of things. She was the 1st Dominican to win an Oscar which is dope. You had Rita Moreno who was the first Latino woman to win an Oscar back in the day but the difference between the two is that Rita always showcased being a proud Puerto Rican. I believe they feel like Zoe only does it when it feels convenient, kinda like when she did the Nina Simone film.
