The Golden State Valkyries held off the Atlanta Dream 88-83 on July 4, 2026, completing the season sweep of Atlanta and pulling within one game of second-place Minnesota in the standings. It was another close one 10 lead changes in the first half, a three-point deficit heading into the fourth but the Valkyries found a way when it mattered most.
Veronica Burton was the story, finishing with 21 points, 5 assists, and a backdoor cut layup with 1:38 left that swung the momentum for good.
