This is our version of the wonderful Swedish song Koppngen. The music was composed originally for violin in 1998 by Per-Erik Moraeus. In 1999 Py Bckman wrote lyrics for the song, in both Swedish and English and mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter recorded both versions.

We translated the song into East Frisian canadiens de montral Plattdeutsch and made our very own version of it. The lyrics describe a country church in a winter scene at Christmas time. The song is about the feeling of coming home for Christmas, a beautiful landscape in winter and remembering those who are already gone.
