Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has strongly opposed the proposed demolition of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, accusing the BJP government of targeting an educational institution for political reasons. The Rampur Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices claiming that most buildings on the campus were constructed without approved plans.
