ESPN broadcaster Ron Franklin makes a sexist comment toward sideline reporter Holly Rowe during a 2005 contest between Notre Dame and Purdue. Rowe was praising Purdue defensive coordinator Brock Spack for using all three timeouts on defense despite trailing by four touchdowns late in the game. Franklin responded: "Holly, it's not giving up. It's 49–21 sweetheart." Franklin was eventually fired from ESPN for condescending remarks he made toward sideline reporter Jeannine Edwards in 2010.
