FOBBV UPDATE ON EAGLE (JACKIE?) SHADOW CONTINUES TO DELIVER FISH & TAKE CARE OF SANDY & LUNA 7.18.26 [VTijjWumFK4]
Here is the latest update on the bald eagle that was rescued today in Big Bear from the FOBBV team: Dear Eagle Family, We do not have an update on the bald eagle rescued in Big Bear in the early morning hours. The initial wildlife rescue group did a light exam and did not see any obvious injuries other than the eagle seemed lethargic, but that it was still somewhat active. The eagle was later transferred to another wildlife group that is more equipped and experienced in these rescues. We have been in contact with them and when they have any information to share, they will reach out to us. Initial exams, tests and/or x-rays can take time to get results. When we hear something, we will relay that information to you. Thank you for your well wishes for the eagle and please be patient during this difficult time. The FOBBV Team ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At this time, the eagle has still not been identified as being Jackie or is another eagle. Due to the transfer, the eagle's care is their priority, so please be patient and try to remain positive regarding the situation. This eagle is in good hands and will be receiving appropriate care and treatment as they conduct tests & xrays to determine the cause of its being grounded and lethargic. Many thanks to the entire FOBBV team and the two wildlife centers for taking in this eagle for care. I will continue to provide updates as they come in. In the video, our amazing Shadow is seen flying into the nest with fish #2 and Sandy & Luna see him and immediately chase back to the nest. Sandy arrives first and claims the fish but Luna is determined to get his share and pulls off a tug-o-fish and steals a big piece and swallows it! Then Luna goes for a 2nd tug-o-fish- Sandy keeps the fish and eats some. Luna goes to the front porch for 5 minutes, then back to the nest and makes the steal & eats the remainder. Shadow will continue to take care of Sandy & Luna and provide fish for them. So far today he he brought in four fish! What a great provider Shadow is for his family!
