Every weekend, groups of young men have been causing chaos in Hyderabad's IT hub areas on the city's outskirts, engaging in illegal street racing with cars and bikes, terrifying local residents and commuters. Late Saturday night in the Knowledge City area, a group of youths were spotted speeding in cars and bikes fitted with modified silencers that produced extremely loud noises. When police attempted to stop one of the vehicles, the driver recklessly drove the car toward the officers, seriously injuring a constable's hand. Raidurgam police registered a case and took a young man named Rehan into custody for rash and negligent driving, seizing his Honda City car and a mobile phone.
