AMERICAN AIRLINES BUSINESS CLASS REVIEW: POOR SERVICE, BAD FOOD Swiatek [n4KO28pMQTJ]

This is a video I really didnt want to make, because my experience onboard American Airlines Boeing 777-300ER from Los Angeles to Sydney was very disappointing especially considering it was in business class. From the service to the food presentation, nothing added up. It simply didnt feel like a business-class experience. The worst part was that one of the cabin crew members was rude and spoke in a very assertive tone. There was no sense of premium service, no business class passenger feeling just straightforward, unfriendly expressions. Honestly, I didnt feel like I was flying business class at all; it felt worse than an economy-class experience on airlines like Cathay Pacific or Qantas.
I booked this ticket from Los Angeles to Sydney using Qantas Frequent Flyer points plus $500 cash, which was a great deal in my opinion.
The flight departed at 10:30 p.m. from Los Angeles and arrived in Sydney around 6:30 a.m., totaling 14.5 hours nonstop.
With a business-class ticket, you can access either the Qantas Business Lounge located in Terminal B (Tom Bradley International Terminal) or the American Airlines Flagship Lounge in Terminal 4 near Gate 41. The two lounges donald gibb are only about a 10-minute walk from each other after clearing security.
I checked in around 7 p.m., and since I had never visited the American Airlines Flagship waterloo weather Lounge before, I decided to check it out. The lounge was pleasant, and they offered a welcome champagne upon arrival. It also has a beautiful view overlooking the airport a great spot for plane watching.
There were plenty of food options, but the quality wasnt as good as the Qantas lounge. Theres also no gourmet cooking station, so the offerings felt a bit ordinary and lacked passion or a premium touch.
Boarding from Gate 41 was smooth and convenient since it was right next to the lounge. But the moment you step into the cabin, you can immediately see how old it looks. The lighting feels outdated, and overall it just does not have a luxurious atmosphere. The cabin layout features 52 lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, with every seat having direct aisle access, which is convenient.
My seat, 13J, was a window seat on the right side, positioned toward the middle of the cabin. While it looked spacious, it also felt worn and a bit tired.
When the cabin crew member came to take my late-dinner order, I took a moment to decide and she was visibly annoyed. That was the moment I felt small, mistreated, and genuinely disappointed by how unprofessional her manner was.
The worst part, however, was the food presentation. My main course the beef rib was a complete shock. It looked terrible, worse than something from a cheap takeaway in Chinatown. It was absolutely not business-class quality, and I was extremely disappointed.
On a positive note, the lie-flat bed was very comfortable. The mattress was thick, which made a big difference, and I managed to get a solid five hours of rocket launch today sleep something I really appreciated.
Overall, it was not a pleasant flight, and the rude cabin service left me with an even more unpleasant feeling.
Thank you for watching.
