Directed by James Cameron, The Terminator is a 1984 sci-fi action thriller that stands as a landmark of relentless pacing, practical effects, and cybernetic horror. The plot follows Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), an unsuspecting Los Angeles waitress targeted for execution by an indestructible cyborg assassin, the Model 101 Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger).
