Our thoughts are with her, with hopes of a full recovery and return to her mate Shadow.. Following the positive update on Jackie yesterday from the Ojai Raptor Center, which I know we’re all extremely grateful for... it was a quiet evening near the nest. A male, presumed to be Shadow, was seen perched in the Twin Pines when the young female flew in and settled just a few feet away. He showed little reaction to her arrival, but soon flew off. The young female remained in the area for much of the evening, but it's not clear where either eagle eventually roosted for the night. As we continue to watch events unfold in the valley, our thoughts remain firmly with Jackie and her continued healing and recovery.
