UPDATE (7/31): Since we taped this episode, the Ojai Raptor Center reports that Jackie’s bloodwork continues to show anemia. And while her cell volume has improved, it still well below normal. She is stable but very sick with a long road ahead. They still don’t know the cause of her illness but signs indicate she was ill before the altercation with the subadults.
