Larson will join several Members of the Ways & Means Committee, leading Social Security advocates and others in announcing the introduction of the ‘Social Security 2100 Act’. Authored by Larson, the measure stands to cut taxes for seniors, increase Social Security benefits, and keep the program strong through this century according to the Social Security Administration’s Chief Actuary. The legislation has received the endorsement of both Social Security Works and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare along with over 50 original cosponsors in the U.S. House of Representatives and the majority of Ways & Means Democrats. Social Security remains the single most reliable program for middle class Americans and is expected to pay full benefits over the next two decades.
