Day 24/365 – First Cold Morning | 14°C, a Sky I Never Look At, and Geese in the Park [EqpAU0RDtKb]

Day 24 of my 365-day morning run series through Boston and Cambridge. The weather turned today. 🍂 Fourteen degrees Celsius — properly cool for the first time since I started this challenge. You can feel autumn arriving in the air here, and there's something about that first cold morning that makes the whole city feel different. It was Monday, so this one had a deadline built into it. Run fast, get home, catch up with the work waiting for the week ahead. ⏱ïļ Not every day on this journey is contemplative — some mornings you're just squeezing the run in before real life starts, and I think that's worth showing too. Early morning at Harvard, quiet streets, then my checkpoint: the bridge. Same as always. But then something stopped me. The sky today was magnificent. Here's what I realized standing there — in twenty-four days of running these same streets, I have almost never looked up at the clouds. Not once. I watch the road, the river, the buildings, my feet. Everything at eye level and below. Twenty-four days of a sky doing something extraordinary above my head while I ran underneath it, paying no attention at all. ☁ïļ Today it finally caught me. And down at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, the geese had taken over — so many of them, going about their morning with far more calm than I had. ðŸĶĒ The flag was flying big and bright above it all. A fast Monday.
