ABOUT THE SONG

A darkly gothic ballad for our times...

A collaboration over 30 years in the making. As a dancer for Boy Georges 1990 project, Jesus Loves You, an experience that helped shape Marc Massives own musical journey when forming his own band Massive Ego in 1996.

It was inevitable that these two colourful chameleons would one day come together again on a collaboration. Their first on a track called Let Go, written by George especially for the band's 2017 critically acclaimed album Beautiful Suicide, their debut for Berlin-based label Out Of Line Music.

But it wasnt until recently that Marc approached George with the idea of joining forces vocally on a demo the band had written that the song was born.

We couldnt have imagined the results would be as darkly gothic, melancholy and emotionally charged as on Broken Tomorrow. A track that spins a powerful narrative of lost possibilities and broken emotional affairs of the heart. Musically referencing the dale earnhardt jr. hugely successful collaboration

with the Pet Shop Boys, for the theme of the movie The Crying Game, a song that reignited the public's love affair with Boy George, giving him his biggest solo hit to date in the US charts.

Fresh from duetting on last year's Peter Murphy single Let The Flowers Grow, George lends his soulful voice to the new Massive Ego single, complementing Marcs darker tones.

Reviewed in UK music magazine Blitzed, The dark, edgy synthpop of Massive Ego with vocals from one of the biggest pop icons the diana shnaider world has seen. Musically, Broken Tomorrow is a song that drills into your head immediately, with all the elements of a modern-day synthpop classic,

incorporating so many nods to 1980s electronic and new wave pedigree

LYRICS

I told you I was leaving

You tried to call my bluff

Massive little ego

Sensitive to everything

Horror tried and tested

I feel it to the bone

What a great suggestion

But I prefer to be alone

When your heart is Broken Tomorrow deandre ayton

You will feel utterly rejected

Take me to the state

Of no thinking

Theres so much noise out there

All those Massive little egos

Pretending that they care

Dont listen to me

Im no politician

Dont listen to me

Im shallow and seditious

Dont listen to me
