As artificial Christmas tree prices rise nationwide, more Tennessee families are turning to local farms for real trees, and some farms are reporting their busiest season in years. Country Lane Christmas Tree Farm in Springfield recorded its busiest day in five years on Black Friday, according to owners Michelle and Jonathan Lane. “Yes, today has definitely been the busiest day in the past five years,” Michelle Lane said. According to the American Christmas Tree Association, artificial trees cost 10% to 15% more this season.
