Two men on death row in Florida were executed on July 28, marking the first time in six decades that the state has conducted more than one execution on the same day, according to the Associated Press. James Aren Duckett, 68, and Dominick Anthony Occhicone, 80, both died by lethal injection at Florida State Prison. Duckett was declared dead at 1:19 p.m., followed by Occhicone at 6:13 p.m., the Florida Department of Corrections confirmed in a news release.
