The Toronto Tempo just played in front of 20,966 fans at the Bell Centre in Montreal, a new WNBA regular-season attendance record, and lost to Dallas in the fourth quarter despite 34 points from Marina Mabrey and a career-best 25 from rookie Laura Juskaite.

On the other ryan hartman side, New York is in a real rough patch. Six losses in their last eight games. Sabrina Ionescu dropped 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists on Saturday against Minnesota and the Liberty still lost. Leonie Fiebich and Satou Sabally are both out. And Jonquel Jones said it best after the game, this team keeps digging themselves deep holes and having to climb out. That has to stop.

New York won the first meeting 97-82 back in June. But that was a different moment in the season for both teams. Today feels different.Can the Liberty stop the bleeding on the road in front of a sold-out Canadian crowd? Or does Toronto use that energy to snap their own skid?
