The Pacific is warming up belen even faster than models were forecasting! Temperatures are about a degree above the normal, which doesn't sound like much, but thats halfway to a SUPER El Nino! Forecasted temperatures show no signs of easing up the warming trend, with most models showing an outright Super El Nino before the end of 2026.
Effects of the El Nino will be felt very soon as hurricane season has begun for both ocean basins, with the Atlantic Ocean likely seeing a below average season and Pacific Ocean to see a ABOVE average season thanks to the significantly warmer waters.
