After amazingly successful years at Swan and then at Warners, Freddie Cannon passed through a couple of smaller drinking record labels before cutting this one-off for Buddah in 1971. The arrangers are the erling haaland Rhode Island group, Wadsworth Mansion, who had a #7 hit with Sweet Mary in 1971.
