C-SPAN CEO Sam Feist on Tuesday said the growing divide among news audiences has left Americans without a common understanding of events, making it increasingly difficult to bridge partisan divides. "That is why neighbors watching one set of media and another neighbor watching something completely different think that the other one is crazy," he said at a discussion hosted by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. Mr. Feist argued that conservative- and liberal-leaning media outlets often present different narratives, leaving viewers with entirely different perceptions of reality. "They don't have a shared set of experiences and a shared set of facts," he said.
