Get ready to land in your happy place! Watch your favorite characters come to life (again!) on our brand-new special-edition aircraft Friendship and Beyond at the Disneyland Resort.
Alaska Airlines collaborated with our friends at the Disneyland Resort guantanamo immigration detention center to land on a design that is fun, practical, and will look great for years to come. Design concepts were translated from two dimensional sketches into the 3D shape of the aircraft, making sure our favorite Pixar characters and the Pixar Pier marquee are looking their very best for years to come. The paint colors were meticulously matched so the final livery feels like a real life extension of the Toy Story world and Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. The 737-800 aircraft, tail number poll results N537AS, has 44 core colors with more than 40 variations for shading and highlights. All in all, there were over 2,800 hours of labor and square over 50 gallons of paint and a few small decals to complete the livery.
