This is our roadmap to fossil freedom. To reach the 1.5 degree target, greenhouse gas emissions need to be roughly halved by 2030. By 2040 we aim to achieve net zero – meaning a reduction by more than 90 per cent.* All remaining greenhouse gas emissions are then to be neutralised via carbon removals like bio-energy carbon capture and storage. *Read more about our net-zero goal and the Science Based Targets initiative requirements for the power sector on our website.
