3 semiconductor ETFs I like and how to pick between them [21WJ3jXQovh]
There’s more to semiconductor ETFs than SMH. I’ve looked at no fewer than 10 and here are the top 3 that stand out “Buy it and forget it semi etf” SMH: rainmaker with 40%+ annualized total return in the last 3 years. Largest AUM and most liquid. Heavily tilted towards large cap semis like NVDA and AMD, who drove majority of the return in the last few years. “US-focused semi ETF” SOXX: US focused semi with very large AUM and liquidity. Largest holdings include AMD and Intel which have driven much of returning the last 3-12 months. “US focused small cap semis” XSD: US focused semis that have potentially longer growth runway (compared to NVDA or TSM). Smallest AUM with top holdings like MaxLinear, Intel, SiTime. Others that didn’t make the list: PSI (similar to XSD but momentum driven) SOXQ (similar to SOXX and lower ER) SMHX (SMH but no foundries like TSMC and Intel) Smaller funds (FTXL, SHOC, CHPS, SEMI) Long or short plays (SOXL, SOXS, SSG) Not financial advice. Consult a professional and invest at your own risk. #stockmarket #ai #semiconductors #investing #smh
