INTERVIEW 🎙️ Matthew Horne, CFA, Head of Digital Assets Strategists, Fidelity Digital Asset Management Rupesh Pednekar, The Beryl Consulting Group Transcript: 00:00:00 uh Fidelity has been in the space for over a decade you know we began experimenting with digital assets back in 2014 you know mining Bitcoin back in 2014 which eventually led into us you know building out some commercial businesses in the space um we have a custody and trading platform for institutional clients we have the asset management platform uh that that I'm part of so it does take time um and I think we are seeing adoption this year given uh you know these etps um every quarter Institution have 00:00:30 to file What's called the 13f it it's a disclosure of their Holdings and based off what we know you're starting to see a variety of Institutions enter these products so hedge funds came in pretty strong this year they're doing a variety of different trades with these uh spot Bitcoin products we're seeing some endowments and Foundations and pensions as well so you're seeing a diversification within the institutional space slowly but it's definitely happening this year what we can expect going forward yeah I mean I I think it's 00:00:58 promising I think there's a lot of momentum in the space right now I think trends like tokenization is encouraging I think uh a lot of you know traditional players are looking at this technology and seeing how we can create efficiencies to existing systems um I think there's a lot of work being done on on Frameworks and how to analyze digital assets so I think that's in great demand there and I think it could present an interesting opportunity for active managers to provide solutions to clients that are looking for guidance 00:01:24 and support in this space so should be a bright future here I think excellent thanks M for joining us and we are here at the very conference in New York City [BERYL ELITES WEBSITE] 👉 Stay informed on global financial markets by subscribing to our weekly newsletter at Copyright 2025 The Beryl Consulting Group.
