After the 1985 and 1986 prologue, were now into 1987 and this is where the Amiga story really starts to move forward.
The Amiga 500 arrived in 1987, and while the machine still wasnt cheap, this was the model that started getting into more homes and helped turn the Amiga into a serious games machine.
This year still isnt peak Amiga, but compared with the early launch years, the library is much stronger. Weve got arcade-style games, adventures, strategy, simulations, sports, Cinemaware presentation pieces, Sierra classics, and some properly original ideas.
