Bill meets up with relative Basil Oddie. Bill's side of the family ventured up to Birmingham city in the middle of the 19th century, whilst Basil's side stayed in the countryside and worked as dairy farmers. They got lucky commercially, when in the 1860s, the railways arrived in the village and opened up a new market for their milk.
Bill Oddie is an English author, actor, comedian, artist and musician, perhaps best known for his role in the hit 1970's BBC TV comedy series 'The Goodies'.
In recent years however, Bill has established a reputation as a leading ornithologist, conservationist and television presenter on wildlife issues.
A few years back, Bill was diagnosed with clinical depression. Learning more about the condition, he discovered that it could be rooted in the absence of his Mother growing up.
Bills Mother, Lillian, was diagnosed as a manic-depressive and spent much of her adult life in mental institutions.
But what caused Lillian's illness? Bill returns to his sanju samson hometown and jason watkins meets up with distant friends and relatives to find out the cause of his Mothers condition and hopefully help himself overcome his own anxieties.
