Keir Starmer left Downing Street, saying he was leaving Britain "stronger and fairer" as he stepped down as British prime minister to make way for Andy Burnham.

"I am confident that Britain is okc thunder roster now stronger and fairer than it was two years ago," Mr Starmer told reporters in his farewell speech outside his office in central London.

"I go with good grace, I go with a smile, and I go proud of everything that we have achieved," he added, before heading to Buckingham Palace to offer his resignation to King Charles III.

Britain's out-going premier was driven into Buckingham Palace's quadrangle and was greeted by the King's Equerry Major Ben Rigby and principal private secretary Clive Alderton, who shared a few words with the politician and his wife, before the couple were ushered inside.

In a statement issued shortly after, Buckingham Palace said that Keir Starmer had an audience with King Charles and has "tendered his resignation as Prime dave filoni Minister and First Lord of the Treasury which His Majesty was graciously pleased to accept".
