Polymer Currency Notes: भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) एक बार फिर देश में पॉलीमर यानी प्लास्टिक आधारित करेंसी नोट शुरू करने की संभावना पर विचार कर रहा है। ये जानकारी आरबीआई गवर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा ने दी है। उन्होंने कहा कि अभी यह प्रस्ताव शुरुआती चरण में है. ये ऐसे बैंक नोट होते हैं जो पारंपरिक कागज की बजाय एक विशेष प्रकार के प्लास्टिक यानी पॉलीमर से बनाए जाते हैं। इन नोटों को अधिक मजबूत, सुरक्षित और लंबे समय तक चलने वाला माना जाता है। ये नोट पानी और नमी से कम प्रभावित होते हैं। कहने का मतलब है कि गर्मी या बारिश के मौसम में नोट के गीला होने की टेंशन नहीं रहेगी। इन पर गंदगी कम जमती है और इन्हें आसानी से साफ किया जा सकता है। इस नोट में कुछ ऐसे सुरक्षा फीचर भी शामिल किए जा सकते हैं, जिससे जालसाजी मुश्किल हो जाती है.
