The state of Florida is on tap to carry out a double-digit number in executions this year. So far, that number stands at eight. And with hundreds more on death row, the Indian River County Sheriff is now making a push for one man to face the ultimate punishment for the death of a Sheriff’s Office Corporal. Nearly 300 inmates are sitting on Florida's Death Row. The Indian River County Sheriff says one of them needs to be put to death, and there's no reason to put it off any longer.
