The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season was an extremely active season with 18 named storms, 11 hurricanes, and 5 major hurricanes. Some notable hurricanes are: Hurricane Beryl, which reached category 5 in the first days of July. It didn't happen since Hurricane Emily (2005). Other notable hurricanes are: Hurricane Francine, which made landfall in Louisiana and hit New Orleans as a hurricane.
