It was Pallante's shortest outing in 2026. While it was not Pallante's worst outing this year, it did force the Cardinals to use their bullpen for the remaining 6 innings that night in what ultimately lead to a Cardinals victory over the Northsiders. No doubt Pallante is looking to give the Cards more quality length tonight in this final game of the series against Texas. Going for the Texas Rangers tonight is LHP MacKenzie Gore (4-4, 3.96 ERA), who was acquired by the Rangers this past offseason via a trade with the Washington Nationals. Overall this year, Gore has generally been very solid for Texas. In Gore's previous start against the Kansas City Royals, he went 6.1 IP while allowing 0 earned runs. As a left hander, Gore in 2026 has been more effective against right handed batters as opposed to left handers, with righties hitting a mere .191 against him, and lefties hitting .245.
