In the summer of 1976, known as the "Summer of Sam", New York was held in the grips of terror as David Berkowitz was carrying out a violent killing spree against unsuspecting couples. He claimed he was instructed to do so by his neighbor Sam Carr's black dog, which was possessed by a 6000 year old demon.
