The character of Caesar from Planet of the Apes has been seen twice throughout the franchises history. He was originally played by Roddy McDowall in the original series of films, and then again in a new version of the character played by Andy Serkis in the rebooted trilogy from 2011-2017. I'm here to break down both versions of the characters, discuss their similarities, their differences, and give my views on which one is ultimately the better version of the Caesar character.
