Airtel has quietly introduced a new restriction on their "unlimited" 5G plans and it's going to affect anyone who shares their hotspot!
What's Changed?
Airtel's unlimited 5G data is now meant ONLY for the primary SIM device. If you share your hotspot with a friend, family member, laptop, or tablet, that data will NO LONGER come from the unlimited 5G bucket!
Official Details:
Hotspot usage pulls data from your regular daily plan quota (2GB/1.5GB/1GB), not unlimited 5G
300GB Fair Usage Policy (FUP) applies monthly to "unlimited" 5G
If 5G signal drops to 4G, that data also comes from your daily plan limit

Airtel is calling it "unlimited" but capping it at 300GB and blocking hotspot sharing seems like a push to promote their broadband/WiFi service instead! But what about people who travel and can't carry a WiFi router everywhere?
