The White Sox bats were on fire in the final game of the four game series against Houston.
Starting pitcher Mike Clevinger held the Astros at bay early in the game, throwing 8 strikeouts over 5.0 innings pitched and picking up his 700th career strikeout.
Luis Robert Jr. got the scoring started for the Good Guys in the bottom of the fifth inning with a solo home run. The hit put the White Sox up 1-0.
In the top of the sixth inning, Yon Moncada hit a double down the right field line. Andrew Vaughn followed suite with an RBI single to score Moncada, giving the White Sox a 2-run lead. Oscar Cols ripped an RBI double to left field adding on an insurance run.
Tim Anderson launched a RBI double off the center field wall to score Cols and add to the White Sox lead in the top of the eighth inning, 4-1.
Moncada topped off his stellar performance with a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to tack on two more runs for the White Sox, 6-1.
The bullpen held the Astros at bay dossena cagliari while the offense came alive, with relief pitcher Kendall Graveman throwing 2 strikeouts over 1.0 innings pitched.
Tim Anderson had 1 H and 1 RBI. Yon Moncada finished his night with 2 R, 3 H, and 2 RBI.
The Chicago White Sox defeated Houston Astros 6-3 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The White Sox split the opening series to start the season with a 2-2 record.
The White Sox will match up against the San Francisco Giants in their home opener at Guaranteed Rate Field on Monday, April 3.
