Smoke From Oregon Wildfire Reaches Seattle Abbas Araghchi [5RxJ3ORzKFG]

Fire season is in full swing, but the fire itself is only jena sims part of the battle, as some areas experience a drop in air quality due to smoke.

This week, cities out east like Chicago, Boston, and Toronto have been dealing with smoky skies and hot, stagnant air. A lot of the smoke is coming from the fires in Canada.

In the Pacific Northwest, smoke from the East Evans Creek Fire in southern Oregon has already spread as far as Seattle.

While air quality in Portland is relatively unaffected, parts of southern Oregon are in the unhealthy category.

In June, Senator Jeff Merkley reintroduced the Wildfire Smoke Emergency Declaration adam levine Act. This bill aims to increase federal response when wildland fire smoke leads to a significant drop in air quality.
