It's another hot one, with early clouds giving way to plenty of sunshine this afternoon. Today's highs: 96° to 100° Winds: Southeast 7-14 mph The real heat is still ahead. Triple-digit temperatures settle in Tuesday and stick around for several days as a strengthening heat dome builds over Texas. By late this week and into the weekend: • Highs climb to 100°-103° • Heat index values reach 105°-110° • Warm nights continue with lows in the 70s and low 80s If you'll be outside, stay hydrated, take frequent breaks in the shade or A/C, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
