A youth leadership program aimed at changing the narrative in Beaumont will culminate with a pinning ceremony Saturday at Lamar University.
Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity is hosting a Youth Leadership Development Program ceremony at the Dr. Richard Price Auditorium on the Lamar campus. The event is scheduled to start at noon.
Organizers said about 20 young men, ages 11 to 17, will be inducted into the Kappa League program during the ceremony. The program focuses on mentoring and leadership development, including financial literacy.

Milon said the chapter also wanted participants to lead by service first, building a history or a portfolio of services before the induction ceremony.
