Extreme weather driving more event cancellations in recent years: study [QnEzoDhbTgS]

A recent study examined more than 2,100 events that had been disrupted by extreme weather, driven by global warming, over the last two decades. Shawna McKinley, co-author of the study and instructor of sustainable event management operations at the B.C. Institute of Technology, found that more events were being cancelled in recent years, and wildfires and air quality were among the top causes of event cancellation in Canada.
