🦅❤️ Sandy and Luna are back! After becoming fully fledged and spending more time exploring the Big Bear Valley territory, the two young bald eagles have returned to the nest. Their return is a beautiful reminder that even though Sandy and Luna are becoming increasingly independent, the nest is still an important part of their home territory. Since fledging, the siblings have been flying between nearby trees, exploring their surroundings, practicing their growing skills, and returning to the nest for food and familiar territory. Friends of Big Bear Valley has documented them spending time together on different perches and returning to the nest. The nest may not be as busy as it was when they were young eaglets, but every time Sandy and Luna come back, eagle watchers get another special moment with this incredible family. 🦅❤️ 💬 Did you see Sandy and Luna return?
