Valmiki Community Submits Memorandum in Belagavi Demands Cremation Ground Community Hall &Playground [zDLKVvaI9XY]
The Karnataka Scheduled Tribe Valmiki State Youth Wing, along with office bearers from Kalenatti and Ankalgi village units, submitted a memorandum to the Belagavi District Administration highlighting several long-pending public demands. The key demands include: Allocation of land for a cremation ground in Kalenatti. Construction of a Valmiki Community Hall in Kalenatti. Provision of a playground for students of the Kannada Government School. Completion of the long-pending Valmiki Community Hall in Ankalgi, which has remained unfinished for over a decade, or construction of a new building. The memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi, the Department of Scheduled Tribes Welfare, the Sub-Divisional Officer, the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat, and the Executive Officer of the Taluk Panchayat. The delegation, led by State President Mahesh S. Shigihalli, warned that if the demands are not addressed promptly, the organization will launch a large-scale protest. The event was attended by Taluk President Mangesh Channikuppi, Rural President Laxman Bagadi, Ankalgi Unit President Manju Holleppagol, office bearers, youth members, and local residents.
