The United States has launched fresh strikes on Iranian missile sites and naval boats near Bandar Abbas, claiming the targets were preparing to lay sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the US military, the missile bases threatened American aircraft carriers, fighter jets and warships deployed in the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea. The US currently has two aircraft carriers and nearly 24 warships in the region enforcing the Hormuz blockade. Iran has retaliated by claiming it shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone worth hundreds of crores and forced an American F-35 stealth fighter jet and RQ-4 Global Hawk drone to retreat from Iranian airspace.

Despite Donald Trumps repeated claims that Irans naval strength has been crushed, ahl fresh US intelligence assessments suggest Tehran still retains nearly 70% of its missile stockpile and hundreds of fast attack boats capable of mining the Strait of Hormuz. Reports usyk claim Iran has already restored 30 of the 33 missile sites earlier destroyed by US attacks. Irans new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has now issued his strongest warning yet, declaring that American military bases in West Asia are no longer safe. Khamenei also urged Muslim countries to unite and create a new world order against Western influence.

For the first time after 47 days of ceasefire, the US, Israel and Iran have openly acknowledged that peace negotiations are underway. Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reached Doha, Qatar for fresh talks with American officials. However, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says a final agreement may still take a few more days. Trump has meanwhile insisted that the US blockade near Hormuz will continue until a complete agreement is signed. Pakistan is also facing pressure over the Abraham Accords and possible recognition of Israel amid growing Saudi and American influence.
