US strikes Iran for sixth consecutive night, Iran retaliates [hyZ5WhGovtk]
The US hit Iran for the sixth consecutive night, as vital infrastructure in the country's southern provinces were targeted. Iran responded by launching missiles on US military assets in the region, including in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrein, Oman, Jordan, and Syria. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated the US is “terrified” of Iran’s “sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz,” as it accused Washington of destabilising the security in the critical transit corridor. Despite having struck Iran repeatedly, the White House stated that US President Trump is still “open to diplomacy”. Meanwhile, Iran has asked Yemen's Houthis to close the Bab al Mandab strait if the US continues to attack power infrastructure. Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrein, and Jordan stated they intercepted the missiles directed on their territory, with Qatar saying one child was injured as a result of falling shrapnel. Iran's health ministry said that since the US resumed attacks on 22 June, at least 38 people were killed and more than 400 wounded in the country.
