Nest: Brownie Park Bald Eagle Nest

Location: Osceola County, Florida

During the bald eagle off-season, a mother raccoon found the perfect place to raise her family, high above the ground in a comfortable bald eagle nest.

Safe and comfortable, she successfully gave birth to and raised her cubs in the unoccupied nest.

Once the cubs were old enough, the family moved out.

Florida's bald eagle breeding world hockey championship 2026 season begins on October 1st, and before long the eagles returned to jeeno thitikul reclaim their nest.

The pair got straight to work, bringing in sticks to rebuild the nest rails and adding fresh grasses and soft nesting material in preparation for eggs and eaglets.

Unfortunately for the eagles, their newly renovated nest proved irresistible to the now-grown raccoon cubs, who clearly had not forgotten their cozy first home.

The young raccoons began to visit regularly, checking for leftover snacks and taking advantage of the soft, comfortable nest bed mother's day for afternoon naps.

All went well until one morning when the raccoons overstayed their welcome and were discovered by one of the resident eagles.

The startled cubs made a very hasty retreat.

Although the eagles spent weeks diligently preparing the nest, no eggs were laid at the Brownie Park nest that season.

With another Florida breeding season approaching, it will be interesting to see whether the raccoon family returns to what was once their nursery high above the ground.
