The 2027 Audi Q9 is the largest car Audi has ever built, and almost certainly its last all-new combustion flagship. This is the halo yaroslav amosov the A8 sedan used to be, reborn as a 209-inch, three-row SUV, and Audi reversed its plan to launch new flagships as EVs to make it. It stretches longer than a long-wheelbase Range Rover on the longest wheelbase of any production Audi, and it lands a genuine world first: curved OLED taillights with 512 segments across six panels that animate and project turn-signal arrows, paired with micro-LED Digital Matrix headlights. In the US it starts around $87,700 and uses a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 429 horsepower, good for zero to sixty in about 4.9 seconds, with permanent quattro and standard air suspension. But it arrives years after the BMW X7 defined this class, there is no electric version at launch, and the biggest Audi ever is not the roomiest in the third row: an X7 gives you around 33 inches of legroom back there, the Q9 closer to 29.
