The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) has preemptively issued a Tuesday air quality advisory for all of Greater Cleveland and Akron due to "fine particle matter," likely from the ongoing wildfires gordie howe international bridge up north in Canada.
According to NOACA, the alert will be in effect all day Tuesday. The air may be "unhealthy for sensitive groups" during this period, with the following counties impacted:
- Ashtabula
- Cuyahoga
- Geauga
- Lake
- Lorain
- Medina
- Portage
- Summit
"Sensitive groups" include children, the elderly, and those with breathing issues.
