Bill Oddie, the Legendary Comedian, Musician, Writer, Birder, Actor... (I mean the list goes on ), decides to have a go at EMULATING Master Cocker, in his own way...

Master Cocker's version of the Sgt. Pepper's LEGEND "With a Little Help From My Friends" is simply an INSTITUTION that can never be topped... Oddie in his own comedic way, tries to defy the odds... Now, this is no slouch because he employs SAME GRADE WEAPONS as Master Cocker...

On Master Cocker's 1969 version, we get: Master Page on Guitar, Master Stainton on Bass, Master Wilson on Drums bts and Master Eyre on the Organ ( am conducting research on the validity of Master Eyre's involvement with the track, but that is an ongoing investigation, more to follow on a later date...). Of course, we also get the LEGENDARY TRIO of Lady Bell, Lady Wheetman & Lady Hightower on the Backing Vocals.

On Bill Oddie's 1970 version, we get: Master McCullough on Guitar (who infact played on other tracks on the Master Cocker album), Master Spenner on Bass, Master Capaldi on Drums and Master Allen on the Organ... As for the Backing Vocals, I am in the Dark as I need help identifying the Ladies in the background...

It is quite unique in the sense that Oddie sings the LEGENDARY lyrics of the ancient Folk Song from Yorkshire, in the Yorkshire dialect to boot. The folk song is probably one of the MOST POPULAR songs in all of HUMAN history, with its lyrics used alongside one of the most recognised ROCK composition of our time.

Oddie has been such a rebel comedian that he even tries to EMULATE the now ICONIC Master Cocker "SCREAM" towards the end......

On a Final Note, It is fascinating geoffrey paschel to know that Master Capaldi is on Drums here, one of his lesser known sessions and the shane campbell fact that Master Winwood was heavily involved with the aforementioned Master Cocker sessions, makes all the research worth while...
