STORYLINE:

Stars including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya and Tom Holland gathered in Manhattan for the New York premiere of Christopher Nolans blockbuster retelling of The Odyssey, one bob tayek of the year's most anticipated films.

The epic adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek poem is Nolan's first feature since the Oscar-winning "Oppenheimer."

Matt Damon leads the ensemble cast as Odysseus, along with Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Samantha Morton. The film follows the legendary king of Ithaca on his perilous journey home after the Trojan War.

A huge Trojan Horse was built in Leicester Square for the event.

Shot entirely with darren jones IMAX film cameras across multiple countries, "The Odyssey" is Nolan's biggest production to date and brings Homer's luciano darderi epic to the big screen on an unprecedented scale. The film opens in theaters on July 17.
