Breaststroke is often called the slowest stroke in swimming, but that doesn't mean it's the easiest. In fact, I believe it's the most technically demanding stroke in the sport.

As a Division I swimmer at the University of Texas and a member of Team USA, I've spent years trying to master breaststroke. In this video, I break down what actually makes it so difficultfrom the constant battle against drag to the razor-thin timing between the pull, kick, and glide. I'll compare it to the other three strokes, explain the biggest mistakes swimmers make, and show why the smallest technical details can make or break a race.

Whether you're a competitive swimmer, coach, swim parent, or just curious about the science behind elite swimming, I hope humber bridge this gives you a new appreciation for the stroke.
